"Bak" means box, "fiets" means bike -- the bike with the box...now a little smaller. The Bakfiets Short offers almost the same utility as our popular standard length, but with a shorter wheelbase and cargo box for snappier handling and easier parking. The Short is less SUV and more sporty station wagon. It will still carry two children in comfort, a meaningful quantity of paper towels, or a keg...but even a petite rider will be able to dart around a farmers market without breaking a sweat.
